The 1st Annual PiratePalooza lands on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 at Luna Kai Waterfront Bar and Grill (at Gino’s Surf) in Harrison Township, Michigan. This fun pirate festival and party is from 5 pm – 2 am on Friday, and 4 pm – 2 am on Saturday. Admission is just $5 for those in pirate costume, and $10 for non-costumed attendees. All ages are welcome to attend.
The Jolly Roger will be flying at Luna Kai/Gino’s Surf’s tropical oasis on the shores of Lake St. Clair with two days of pirate merriment, live music, delectable food, cool vendors, Admiral Nelson Rum grog specials, and plenty of fun!
On Friday June 17 enjoy BBQ on the Luna Kai patio and live music by classic rockers Danny D and The Bo Luc Gang, in addition to sea shanties by Ann Arbor duo Match by Match.
On Saturday June 18, there will be a sumptuous pig roast and musical entertainment by eastside scallywags The Orbitsuns and buccaneer band The Bawdy Boys. Match by Match and acoustic troubadour Frankie D’Angelo will also delight with charming pirate ditties.
On both nights Detroit’s own Nikki Black – a dead ringer for Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean character – will be on hand posing for photos, and hosting the Wicked Wench and Captain Jack Sparrow look-a-like contests. Contest winners will be awarded booty from Lucky Monkey Tattoo, Wench Wear (pirate themed clothing line), Jet’s Pizza, Showtime Clothing and more.
